My name is Heather McCurdy. Due to recent events in the past few years, I had the dream wedding, a month long honeymoon, and officially passed the barefoot and pregnant stage. I couldn't stop there. On October 20, 2011 I became a 'Stay At Home Mom' aka SAHM. Surprisingly, I like it. In fact, I love it. These days, I'm in the kitchen wearing my pink Ugg slippers (which I trade out for a pair of tennies now and then) and a gorgeous babe hanging from my hip.
I am also getting back into cooking, baking, writing, and crafting. Babe is still not old enough to do anything but pull hair and put my glasses in her mouth, so she's just my 'beautiful to look at' assistant at this time. You have to admit, she does take some spectacular pictures, of course, she's my babe so that means all her pictures are fantastic.
By coming together, the world we live in can be better. This website is about the cliche "it takes a village" and my goal is to bring information and opinions from all walks of life so we can share & inspire each other. By contributing snippets of stories and sharing others' stories here, we'll have some decent Rock Stew.

Some of you may wonder why I named the blog Rock Stew? Fall back into your memory from long ago the story of Stone Soup.
Travelers show up in village with nothing but a cooking pot. No one gives them any food so they go tothe town square and put the pot on a fire and throw in a couple stones. A curious villager ask what they are doing, and the travelers reply that they are making stone soup of course, which taste wonderful, but they need a bit of garnish. The villager runs back to his home to get the garnish which is added. More villagers walk by and soon the pot is a delicious and nourishing soup.
